Overview

Personal Trainer – Active Aging & Osteoporosis Program (Wisconsin Orthopedic PT)

Location: Hartland, WI

Wisconsin Orthopedic Physical Therapy is growing our fitness offerings and hiring a Personal Trainer to work primarily with adults 55+ as a complement to our one-on-one PT services. Our clients are often 65+, retired, and motivated to stay strong, independent, and active for the long haul.

If you love working with older adults, value relationships over “gym influencer” culture, and get excited about evidence-based programs, this could be a perfect fit.

Who you are

  • Passionate about working with older adults and helping them stay strong, confident, and independent.
  • Professional and mature in how you present, communicate, and show up to interviews and sessions.
  • Comfortable coaching in both one-on-one and group settings.
  • Open-minded and coachable, with a genuine interest in learning clinic-based, evidence-informed approaches.

Schedule & compensation

  • Flexible schedule with strong demand and growth potential.
  • Role can build toward full-time as classes and caseload grow.
  • Compensation: $30-$50/hr
    • Opportunity to discuss additional incentive/bonus structure as the program scales.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Lead one-on-one and small group fitness sessions for adults 55+ focused on:
    • Strength, balance, mobility, and fall prevention
    • Safe progression of exercise for those with pain or medical history
  • Deliver and grow our osteoporosis-focused Onero program (training provided).
  • Collaborate closely with physical therapists to:
    • Reinforce home exercise programs
    • Support clients transitioning from rehab to long-term fitness
  • Help shape and grow a new program line as demand continues to increase.
  • Provide an excellent client experience every visit: professional, warm, punctual, and prepared.

Qualifications

Preferred background (flexible):

  • Certified personal trainer or exercise professional (NASM, ACSM, ACE, NSCA, etc.)
    • Degree/background in kinesiology, exercise science, physical therapy assistant, or related field preferred but not required
  • Experience with:
    • Older adults, active aging, senior fitness, or post-rehab clients
    • Group classes or small-group training
